Enter your email address on the Four/Four login page and it shows the sign-in options for your workspace: a password box, single sign-on buttons (Google, Microsoft, Okta), a link to email you a login link, or a combination.
Sign-in options
Option | When it appears | Behaviour |
Password | Workspace has no single sign-on connected. | Forgot password? emails a reset link valid for 60 minutes. After 5 failed attempts you are temporarily locked out and told how many seconds to wait. |
Log in with Google | An admin has connected Google Calendar or Google Mail. | Redirects to Google. Workspace-domain accounts only. |
Log in with Microsoft | An admin has connected Outlook Calendar. | Redirects to Microsoft. Work or school accounts only. |
Log in with Okta | An admin has set up the Okta connection. | Redirects to Okta. |
Log in with Email | Shown alongside single sign-on options, not on password-only workspaces. | Emails a one-time login link valid for one hour and shows "Login email sent". Works if your identity provider is unavailable. |
When any single sign-on option is available the password box is hidden, so password login is not possible. If several providers are connected, each shows its own button. If you belong to more than one workspace, the options shown are those of your first workspace.
Requirements for single sign-on
You need a Four/Four user. Admins invite people under Settings > Team > Invite user. Single sign-on never creates users.
The email on your Google, Microsoft or Okta account must match your Four/Four email.
Admins: setup steps are in the Okta, Microsoft Entra and Google single sign-on articles.
Troubleshooting
"We were not able to log you in": your identity provider accepted you but Four/Four found no matching user. Ask an admin to check your Four/Four email.
No SSO button: check you typed exactly the email your admin invited.
No login email: check spam, and confirm the address matches your Four/Four user.
