Getting started

A checklist walkthrough of the Starter checklist on your Four/Four dashboard, with what each step requires.

Written by Chris Lloyd

The Starter checklist on your Dashboard lists the steps that get a workspace producing insights. On a trial, cards that can extend the trial show the number of days they are worth (see Plans, trial and usage).

Set up your workspace

  1. Describe your company (Settings > Company) so Four/Four understands your products, solutions and competitors.

  2. Invite team members (Settings > Team). Invitees must accept the emailed invitation; the step is done once a teammate has joined.

  3. Connect your CRM (Settings > Connections) so conversations and insights link to your CRM records.

  4. Connect to your calendar so the notetaker can join meetings automatically.

  5. Connect to your external meeting recorders, such as Gong or Fireflies, so their recordings feed into Four/Four.

Bring in a conversation

Have your first conversation by uploading a video or inviting the notetaker to a meeting. The step is marked done once you have a finished meeting or call linked to a calendar event where you are an attendee, so an upload alone may not tick it.

Work with insights

These cards (create topic sets, ask the Analyst, view topic sets) stay locked (Requires insights) until you have at least one insight. View topic sets shows sets your teammates generated.

Optional steps

Book a tour appears only when a booking link is available for your workspace.

Hiding the checklist

On a trial the checklist always shows. Once the workspace is on a paid plan, select Complete and hide checklist and confirm Hide checklist. The setting is per person. On paid plans the header also shows Explore what you can do with Four/Four, which opens a short guided overview.

Troubleshooting

  • Create topic sets or Ask the Analyst is locked: both need insights. Bring in a conversation and wait for it to finish processing.

  • Have your first conversation is not ticked after an upload: the step looks for a completed meeting or phone call tied to a calendar event that lists you as an attendee. Connect your calendar and let the notetaker join a meeting.
