The Notion integration reads the pages in the Notion databases you share, matches them to customer insight, and can write insight statistics back onto each page. You can also export a topic from Four/Four as a new page. Four/Four sees only the pages and databases you share with the integration.
Connect Notion
You need a Notion account that can share the relevant databases with an integration.
Go to Settings > Connections and find Notion under Product management tools.
Click Connect. You are taken to Notion.
When Notion asks which pages to share, choose each page that contains a database of product ideas, and approve.
Four/Four starts reading your databases within a few minutes.
To add a database later, share it with the Four/Four integration in Notion and wait for the next sync.
What is imported
Each shared database and its pages, including properties and content. Four/Four reads the database's status property to decide whether a page is to do, in progress or complete, using Notion's To-do, In progress and Complete status groups. Notion is checked every 5 minutes, and pages you delete in Notion are removed from Four/Four.
Choose what Four/Four uses
Click Settings on the Notion card to see your Notion databases.
For each database, click the pencil icon next to Using all tracking issues to choose which pages are used, by quality, status and status category.
Click the pencil icon next to Incorporating any insight type to choose which insights are considered. You can filter by insight, label, time period, participants, CRM data and conversation criteria.
Click Save.
Click Enable modelling to build a model of the database and match pages to insights. It is available once at least 10 pages match your filters. Until the model is ready the database shows that it is scheduled for deployment, then when it was last regenerated. Disable modelling turns it off.
Insight stats on pages
Add these properties to your Notion database. Names must match exactly (capitalisation does not matter). All are optional.

Any of them can instead be a Text property, in which case Four/Four writes the value as text. Stats are refreshed once a day, around midnight, for pages in databases with modelling enabled that Four/Four has matched to a topic. After adding the properties, expect numbers the following day.
Export a topic to Notion
When viewing a topic in a topic model, open the menu and choose Export to Notion. It appears when Notion is connected and you are allowed to publish. Four/Four creates a page in the model's database, with the topic label as the title and its description as the page content.
What Four/Four writes to Notion
New pages from topic exports and the optional Four/Four properties above. No other properties or content are changed.
Troubleshooting
Authentication failed: Notion no longer accepts Four/Four's access, for example because the integration was removed from your workspace. Click Disconnect, then Connect and approve access again.
Setup error: setup did not finish. Click Connect to run it again.
No databases have been synced yet: make sure at least one database is shared with the integration, then wait a few minutes.
Enable modelling is greyed out: fewer than 10 pages match your current filters.
Stats not appearing: check property names and types, that modelling is enabled for the database, and allow until the next day.
Permissions
Connecting Notion requires the Manage connections permission, which is normally held by admins.
