The Google Workspace integration connects Google Calendar and Gmail to Four/Four. Calendar lets the Four/Four notetaker see your team's meetings so it can join them. Gmail imports customer email threads as conversations. Connecting either one also enables Sign in with Google for your team. Access is read-only.
How authentication works
The integration uses domain-wide delegation. A Google Workspace super administrator authorises the Four/Four service account once for your domain, and Four/Four then reads each Four/Four user's calendar or mailbox on their behalf. Individual users do not approve anything.

The two services are connected separately, so you can connect one or both. Every active Four/Four user is synced; users whose email is not in your Google Workspace domain are skipped.
Connect a Google service
You need to be signed in to Four/Four with a Google Workspace account in the domain you are connecting, and a Google Workspace super administrator to complete the Admin console steps. For Gmail, connect your CRM first and let its initial sync finish. Also check that Internal email domains are set under Settings > Company, so your own domain is not treated as a customer.
Go to Settings > Connections and find Google Calendar or Google Mail under Productivity services.
Click Connect. If Google is already authorised for your domain, the card connects immediately. Otherwise the Connecting Google Workspace window opens.
Click Open Domain-wide Delegation, which opens the Google Admin console. A super administrator must complete the next steps.
Under API clients, click Add New.
Paste the Four/Four Client ID from the window (use the copy button).
Paste the Scope from the window (also with a copy button).
Click Authorise in the Admin console.
Back in Four/Four, click Connect in the window.
If one Google card is already set up, you can edit the existing API client in the Admin console and add the second scope, comma-separated, instead of adding a new client. Changes in Google can take a few minutes to apply; if the connection fails at first, wait and click Connect again.
Calendar sync
Four/Four syncs each user's primary calendar, from the last 2 days to the next 14 days.
Changes are picked up through change notifications. Calendars are also re-checked every two hours, with a full refresh every two to three days.
Gmail sync
Frequency: mailboxes are checked every hour. The first sync goes back 90 days per mailbox; after that only new messages are read.
Skipped: Spam, Trash, and automated email such as out-of-office replies, bounces, mailing lists and no-reply senders.
Only customer emails are kept. A message is imported only when someone outside your company is on it (sender, To, Cc or Bcc) and that person matches a lead in your CRM, or a contact in your CRM who belongs to an account. Internal-only messages and people not found in your CRM are ignored. Internal email domains are not counted as external people.
Threads: messages in the same Gmail thread are combined into one email conversation.
CRM dependency: email is only imported once a CRM is connected and its first sync has finished.
Sign in with Google
As soon as Google Calendar or Google Mail is connected, Google is offered as a sign-in option when anyone on your team enters their email on the sign-in page. This applies to the whole team, not only the person who connected it. Once a single sign-on method is connected, the sign-in page offers it together with an email sign-in link; password sign-in is offered only to teams with no single sign-on method connected.
Troubleshooting
"Google Calendar could not be connected" or "Google Mail could not be connected": the delegation is not in place yet. Check the Client ID and scope were pasted exactly, that the super administrator clicked Authorise, wait a few minutes and try again.
Authentication failed: Google no longer accepts the delegation, for example because it was removed or the scope changed. Add it again using the details in the Connecting Google Workspace window, then click Disconnect and Connect.
Setup error: setup did not finish. Click Connect and follow the steps again.
One user's meetings or email are missing: they must be an active Four/Four user whose email belongs to your Google Workspace domain.
No emails appearing: check your CRM is connected and has finished its first sync, and that the people on the emails exist in your CRM as leads or as contacts attached to an account.
Permissions
Connecting Google Calendar or Google Mail requires the Manage connections permission, which is normally held by admins.
